Volunteer Role
The Event Coordinator for the F.I.R.E. Program is responsible for planning and executing high-impact experiences that bring the program’s mission to life. This role focuses on event strategy, logistics, and delivery, ensuring that each experience fosters connection, growth, and community.
While this role partners closely with other committee seat holders, it does not own content creation, communications, or facilitation; instead, it ensures all components come together seamlessly for a cohesive and elevated experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute F.I.R.E. events, including mentorship sessions, workshops, panels, and networking experiences
- Develop event timelines, logistics plans, and run-of-show documents
- Coordinate all operational elements such as scheduling, materials, and event flow
- Ensure events are delivered smoothly, on time, and aligned with program standards
- Design the structure and format of events to support engagement and participation
- Ensure each event creates opportunities for connection and meaningful interaction
- Maintain consistency across events to support a cohesive program experience
- Partner with the Content / Instructional Creator to integrate prepared materials into events
- Coordinate with Breakout Group Facilitators to align on event flow and timing
- Collaborate with the Public Relations Coordinator to ensure event details are shared for promotion
- Align with the Community Coordinator on scheduling and integration of volunteer-based initiatives
- Serve as the central point to ensure all contributors are aligned and prepared
- Organize and execute “Beyond the Boardroom” experiences from an operational standpoint
- Partner with the Community Coordinator for volunteer-focused initiatives while managing logistics and execution
- Support both professional and informal events that strengthen relationships across the cohort
- Manage event-related resources responsibly
- Track basic expenses and identify opportunities for efficiency or partnerships
- Provide event details, timelines, and requirements to the Public Relations Coordinator
- Support distribution logistics (calendar invites, RSVP tracking), without owning messaging or content creation
- Collect attendance data and participant feedback
- Share insights and recommendations with the committee to improve future programming
- Identify opportunities to enhance engagement and experience quality
